KWLZ WiLD 99.3 – General Contest Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase or payment will not increase your chances of winning. Void where prohibited by law.

Unless otherwise stated in the official rules for a specific contest (the “Specific Rules”), these General Contest Rules (“General Rules”) govern all contests and promotions (each, a “Contest”) conducted by KWLZ-FM WiLD 99.3 (the “Station”). In the event of a conflict between these General Rules and the Specific Rules for a particular Contest, the Specific Rules will govern.

Violation of any of these rules may result in disqualification.

 1. Availability of Rules

Copies of these General Rules and any applicable Specific Rules are available:

2. Dates and Terms

The Station reserves the right to change the dates, deadlines, or terms of any Contest at any time without prior notice. Any material changes will be announced on-air and/or posted at https://wild993fm.com/. All Contests are subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and are void where prohibited.

3. Eligibility

Unless otherwise stated, Contests are open only to legal U.S. residents of California, aged eighteen (18) or older, who reside in one (1) of the following counties: Shasta and Tehama.

If the Station allows individuals aged fourteen (14) to seventeen (17) to enter, a parent or legal guardian must accept the prize on behalf of any minor winner. Employees of the Station, Stephens Media Group, other area radio stations, sponsors, and immediate household members of such employees are not eligible.

Prize Frequency Limits

Participants are subject to the following restrictions:

  • Prizes up to $100: not eligible if won within the last 30 days.
  • Prizes between $101–$499: not eligible if won within the last 90 days.
  • Prizes between $500–$999: not eligible if won within the last 6 months.
  • Prizes of $1,000 or more: not eligible if won within the last 12 months.

The Station reserves the right to waive or modify these restrictions at its sole discretion.

Only one entry per email address per household is permitted. Shared or duplicate email addresses are not permitted. There is no purchase necessary to enter or win.

4. Disclaimer

The Station is not responsible for technical failures or disruptions, including but not limited to:

  • Radio Transmission, Cable Transmission, Satellite Transmission;
  • Telephone, internet, or cellular service outages;
  • Software or hardware malfunctions;
  • Lost, delayed, or misdirected entries;
  • Human or operator error;
  • Force majeure events, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, strikes, pandemics, or natural disasters.

5. Prizes (General Conditions)

All taxes, gratuities, and incidental expenses associated with the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash unless explicitly stated. The Station reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value.

6. Prize Transfer or Sale

Winners may not sell or transfer a prize without prior written approval from the Station. Unauthorized transfer or sale may result in disqualification, forfeiture, or permanent disbarment from future Contests.

7. Travel and Accommodation Prizes

Travel-related prizes are subject to availability and restrictions (e.g., blackout dates, travel documents, liability waivers). Winners and guests must travel on the same itinerary. Additional costs, such as ground transportation, meals, and incidentals, are the sole responsibility of the winner.

8. Celebrity Prizes

Celebrity interactions are subject to the celebrity’s availability. The Station is not responsible for cancellations or the inability of the winner to participate due to such cancellations. No substitute prize will be provided.

9. Concert or Event Cancellation Policy

In the event that a concert, show, or other ticketed event for which a prize has been awarded is canceled, postponed, or rescheduled for any reason, including but not limited to illness, artist cancellation, venue issues, weather, or acts of God, the Station shall not be responsible for replacing the prize or awarding any substitute prize or compensation. The Station is not responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred by winners or their guests in connection with such events.

All event prizes are awarded “as is” and are subject to the terms, conditions, and restrictions of the event organizer and/or venue. Winners are advised to contact the event organizer or ticket issuer directly for information regarding ticket policies in the case of cancellation or rescheduling.

No cash substitution, credit, or alternative prize will be provided by the Station in the event of cancellation or rescheduling, even if the winner is unable to attend the new date.

10. Gift Cards/Certificates

Gift cards or certificates may be subject to additional terms and expiration dates. They may not cover taxes, tips, or alcohol, depending on issuer restrictions.

11. Cash Prizes

Cash prizes will be issued via check payable to the verified winner and are typically delivered within 6 to 8 weeks upon completion of all required paperwork.

12. Prize Selection

Where prize selection is permitted, options may be subject to sponsor limitations or product availability.

13. Winner Notification

Depending on the Contest type, the Station may notify winners via:

  • Telephone,
  • Email,
  • Text message,
  • Direct message on social media, or
  • Public announcement.

The Station will make reasonable efforts to contact winners but is under no obligation to make multiple contact attempts.

14. Prize Pickup

Unless otherwise specified, winners must collect prizes at the Studio within 30 business days. Time-sensitive prizes must be claimed within their usability period. Unclaimed prizes are forfeited. The Station is not liable for lost or damaged prizes sent via mail.

15. Winner Verification

Winners must provide valid government-issued identification, a social security number (if required for tax purposes), and any documentation requested by the Station. Winners may be required to sign liability and/or publicity releases.

Winners receiving prizes valued at $600 or more in a calendar year will receive a Form 1099-MISC for tax reporting.

16. Prohibited Entry Methods

Automated or fraudulent entry methods (e.g., bots, scripts, mass entries) are prohibited. Violation may result in disqualification without notification.

17. Use of Name, Voice, and Likeness

By participating, entrants consent to the use of their name, voice, photograph, likeness, and biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes without compensation, except where prohibited by law.

18. Contest Cancellation

The Station reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify any Contest if fraud, technical failures, or other factors beyond its control compromise the integrity of the Contest.

19. Indemnification

By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Station and its affiliates, sponsors, employees, and agents (the “Released Parties”) from any liability arising from participation in the Contest or use of any prize.

20. Odds of Winning

Odds depend on the number of eligible entries received. For skill-based contests, odds are not applicable.

21. Communications

The Station is not required to respond to inquiries about entry status or Contest results. Any such responses do not create an obligation or advantage.

23. Winner List

To request a list of winners, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope within three (3) months of the Contest’s conclusion to:

Mystery Money Jackpot – Official Rules

  1. Promotion Period

The Mystery Money Jackpot (“Promotion”) is a multi-market, multi-station radio contest conducted by Stephens Family Limited Partnership / Owner of Stephens Media Group Radio Stations and its participating radio stations (each a “Participating Station”).

The Promotion begins at 12:00 a.m. local time on Monday, March 2, 2026, and ends at 11:59 p.m. local time on Friday, March 27, 2026 (the “Promotion Period”).

All Participating Stations will operate under these Official Rules. Entries from all Participating Stations will be pooled for prize drawings.

  1. How to Enter
  2. Standard Entry (Text-to-Qualify)
    During the Promotion Period, listen to a Participating Station for an on-air contest cue (“Cue”) and corresponding keyword (“Keyword”).
  • Up to thirteen (13) unique Keywords may be announced each weekday (Monday through Friday).
  • Up to one (1) bonus Keyword may be announced on weekends.

Upon hearing a Keyword, text the Keyword to 844-500-8946. Message and data rates may apply. Text STOP to opt out; text HELP for help.

  1. Bonus Entry
    For each Keyword, participants may submit one (1) optional bonus entry online at www.listen2win.com. Both entry methods are free.
  2. Entry Limits
  • One (1) text entry and one (1) bonus entry per Keyword per person.
  • Keywords must be entered exactly as announced.
  • Duplicate entries for the same Keyword will be disqualified.

Maximum entries:

  • Up to thirteen (13) entries per weekday, each corresponding to a different Keyword.
  • One (1) entry per weekend, using the applicable weekend Keyword.
  1. Entry Periods

Entries will be grouped into Entry Periods for winner selection as follows:

  • Weekday Entry Periods: All eligible entries received each day, Tuesday through Friday, from all Participating Stations constitute one Entry Period per day.
  • Weekend Entry Periods: All eligible entries received Saturday through Monday, from all Participating Stations constitute one Entry Period.

There are a total of twenty (20) Entry Periods during the Promotion Period.

  1. Winner Selection and Notification
  • At the conclusion of each Entry Period, one (1) potential winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during that Entry Period.
  • Winners will be contacted by telephone using the number provided at the time of entry.

To be declared an official winner, the selected entrant must confirm eligibility and provide:

  • Full legal name
  • Complete mailing address
  • Valid phone number
  • Date of birth
  • Social Security Number, if required for tax reporting purposes (prizes over $600)

If a selected entrant cannot be reached, fails to provide required information, is ineligible, or declines the prize, an alternate winner may be selected at the sole discretion of Stephens Family Limited Partnership / Owner of Stephens Media Group Radio Stations.

Prize values range from $250 to $1,057, depending on the prize type and station.

  1. Odds of Winning
    Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during each Entry Period. Each eligible entry has an equal chance of being selected in its respective drawing.

  1. Prize Fulfillment
    Prizes will be awarded by check within six (6) to eight (8) weeks after winner verification and receipt of all required documentation.
  2. Taxes
    All federal, state, and local taxes, as well as any other expenses not specifically stated, are the sole responsibility of the winner. An IRS Form 1099 may be issued if required by law.
  3. Total Approximate Retail Value (ARV)
    The total ARV of all prizes will be a minimum of $10,000, and based on winner’s participating station. Prize distribution is weighted with lower-value prizes awarded more frequently than higher-value prizes. The ARV reflects the predetermined prize types and does not assume that all winners receive the maximum possible Frequency-Matched prize.

 

  1. Eligibility
  • Open to legal residents of the United States aged 18 or older at the time of entry.
  • Limit one (1) prize per person and per household during the Promotion.
  • Employees of Stephens Family Limited Partnership / Owner of Stephens Media Group Radio Stations, Participating Stations, affiliated companies, advertising or promotion agencies, and their immediate household members are not eligible.
  1. General Conditions
  • Stephens Family Limited Partnership / Owner of Stephens Media Group Radio Stations and Participating Stations are not responsible for technical difficulties, transmission delays, or streaming lag affecting participation.
  • By participating, entrants grant permission for the use of their name, likeness, voice, and city of residence for promotional purposes without additional compensation, where permitted by law.
  • Stephens Family Limited Partnership / Owner of Stephens Media Group Radio Stations reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Promotion if circumstances compromise its integrity.
  • Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification.
  • By entering, participants release and hold harmless Stephens Family Limited Partnership / Owner of Stephens Media Group Radio Stations and its affiliates from all liability arising from participation or prize acceptance.
  1. Official Rules & Availability

These Official Rules apply exclusively to the Mystery Money Jackpot Promotion.
Rules are available during normal business hours at Participating Station offices and on Participating Station websites.

KCDU (Monterey, CA); KWAV (Monterey, CA); KZBD (Spokane, WA); KABX (Merced, CA); KHTN (Merced, CA); KWLZ (Redding, CA); KTSO (Tulsa, OK); KMYZ (Tulsa, OK); WZNE (Rochester, NY); KUJ-FM (Tri-Cities, WA); KKAJ (Ardmore, OK); KAKT (Medford, OR); KAKT-HD2 (Medford, OR); WYSX (Ogdensburg, NY); WFRY (Watertown, NY); WCIZ (Watertown, NY).

All entries from Participating Stations will be pooled for each Entry Period drawing.
